hi,

on my pc i can't change accoustic mode for hdd.
I have:
Abit KV7 KT600/8237 mobo
Hitachi SATA 160GB hdd
win XP SP2

Systool thinks that hdd accoustic mode is not supperted, but in hitachi feature tool it can be changed
Systool's feature to change accoustic mode in windows would be very usefull...

I have a similar issue, but only when trying to change the accustic level from one extream to the other. Try smaller steps, or make the change, and try re-reading the value.
