Am I the only person that really thinks we should be able to have sigs with an image in it? I emphasize an because anything more than one picture in a signature is annoying. I think something like this would be reasonable: No larger than 800x200, no larger than 100kb, no animations, and only one image.

i agree with no more then 100kb no anamations and one image but 800x200 is huge. there are still forum goers that use 800x600 and that would cause scrolling. lets keep it clean 500 or 550 at the most wide.
I do think small ones for people with say, over 500 posts would be nice.

I think for over ppl with 300 posts. But no animations, and say about 100 pixels in height.

w00t! Let's hope W1zzard is on our side. If bogging the server is a factor I'm sure we could all get our own image hosting.

I hope you mean 550x100 ;)

Sigs with pictures would be nice, provided they were smallish. They should prolly be hosted off of imageshack or something to avoid soaking up bandwidth needlessly. That or we get avatars. :D
I've talked to w1zz about it and he isnt going for it, just thought I would save you guys some time.

Maybe there could be an option to disable signatures for people? Like if they were still using dial up they could have the option to not view people's signatures.

yeah theres an option to disable avatars, so...there should be one to disable sigs if we ever got them. I spent a good couple months without knowing a thing about the avatars here

I don't want it. It makes the forums a mess. The avatars are more than enough in my opinion, and since the system spec drop down was added, the signature space adds a good place for a message or any additional relevant information you might want to add.

No, text sigs are enough. If you have something appropriate to your sig, you sure should be able to tell us it by text.

Lol, the poll doesn't mean sh!t if you guys have W1zzard on your side. You do have some very valid points though. I agree, now that you've mentioned it, that it pretty much would be pointless with us already having a system specs panel.

alright fine, I agree. But would it be too much to ask for bigger avatars? :D drawing in MSPaint in such low resolutions is HARD man lol

I have to disagree on that one. Make a large image and then downsize it, or if you want then have someone downsize it for you.

Its fine how it is right now. A lot of our members have 56k and pictures in signature would lag the hell out of them.

Get a better art proggie then =P

Yeah. Use the GIMP (http://www.gimp.org/), it's free.
The one thing I could go for is animated avatars... Mine is actually supposed to be an animation... its 1337.
