The PR dept. at Asus must be on crack because their is no way that Asus or Lambo lead their respective industries in anything, especially technology. I guess the gullible who might buy such a bling notebook probably have no clue so they'd buy into the totally dishonest claims by Asus. I'm sure other folks in the PC Biz get a good laugh out of these foolish claims by Asus.

lol oldschool, I agree. These Acer Ferrari's and Asus Lambo's are strictly for the "of course it's a lambo, nothin but the best for me" kind of people. Just like everyone who brags about having their "745xi Beamer" or even some piece beamer just for being a BMW, or guys with their chromed-out Escalades, or the guys with the TV's all over their car. OR (this one's much more of a close comparison) the rich old guys (GOD I HATE THESE PEOPLE) or even middle-age guys who know nothing about cars but buy themselves a Ferrari 360 or Porsche 911 or even some gay-ass Audi A6 convertible, or best of all, a convertible Miata, S2000 or some other compact like those Toyota Solaris's or whatever, and drive around with their little racing caps on, acknowledging NO ONE that congratulates them on the road (probably because they already know it's great, they don't have time to hear other people tell them), and pulling up to the front of a stoplight and just idling up to speed when it turns green. Or dragging a guy with a real car (like a classic muscle), but pretending they aren't even dragging (you know, not looking over, eyes straight ahead, just like "yeah I always go this fast").
Anyway, my comparison between them and a guy that buy's a Lambo from Asus, is they have to be an adult (what kid can afford that?), and I will just feel embarrassed for whoever I see lugging one of those things around. I mean I payed 1/3 the price for my Inspiron 9300 and I'll eat an Acer or Asus alive in benchmarks or games. But god knows if I told an owner that, he'd be like "oh you know, I only use this for spreadsheets and documents". Nice excuse for buying a $3000+ laptop.
I like relating things to cars, so if I went extreme on that comment, just realize I always do that with cars lol

lol for 3000$ i'd expect far more gaming and graphics performance, seems like the name lamborgini is costing a full grand then asus's name another 300$. another 700$ in pure profit and lets see that leaves 800$ for actual parts lol.

Totally not worth it for over $3000 US. You can get better laptops with Acer... Wth are the people at Asus thinking?

yeah exactly what I was saying. You can get a fully loaded XPS or Area-51 for $3000, and they got 7800GTX's in them. Plus they look better. But hey, who can pass up the Lambo name? Oh yeah, everyone! except the ignorant and rich.

Yay for car-name ripoff laptops! That's the second from them, and the third I've seen to date. I must say, it does top the hummer laptop. :D
