For those of you fortunate enough to be in Hawaii for the month of April, the city's bus service (called 'TheBus') has 10 buses that are wifi equipped.

The website is here (http://www.thebus.org/wifi/wifi.asp) and all you need to do is jump onboard one of the ten silver hybrid buses (pay the fair of course), find the connection (called 'iRide'), connect to it and voila: wireless internet while you get motion sickness!

So far, the speeds has ranged from 2mbps to 5mbps, and the service is provides by Sprint. This is a pilot project, and according to the customer feedback form, they might charge anywhere from nothing up to $8/month (ontop of the popular $40/month adult bus pass).

Its no google-powered wifi city-covered project, but if your laptop can survive the bumps, potholes and hard braking, then its worth it.
