K. If you really wanted to you could upload your own images of your favorite smilies from other forums, then post them as images in your posts.

But I am sure the messaging system techPowerUp! forums uses is capable of giving more standard smilies, just that it isn't enabled. Many (most) other forums have 3X the amount of smilies to choose from, and I'm not saying this to down these forums, which I really like. It's just that I don't feel that smilies aren't on par with the mass.:wtf:

Too many smilies are annoying. But I do want the RTFM smiley. Would be so useful :)

And, there is no way to add personalized graphics in the signature, that I find sad. Maybe at the time that happened, it was a concern about jpg viruses?

I'm fine with having a stash of smilies and using IMG stuff. In all honesty, its nice when people pull out rare smileys instead of having them all on demand. smileys like...this.http://tweekmonster.net/sa/emots/images/emot-dance.gif thanks SA!

Pictures in signatures can get really annoying. I've been to forums where one post takes up my whole screen because someone put a massive picture and size 1000000 font in their signature. I agree with zekrah on the smilies.
