Dude get the newark core!! Those are like sandeigos in 754 clothing. People have been hitting 3ghz on them.

EDIT: Or get a Turion 64 MT-34

Why do you NEED 1 mb of L2? It makes very little difference... Get a venice based Sempron 64 and OC the hell out of it. With some good cooling they will do 2.6 ghz easily.
