It's made by a company called EKL which stands for something really long that I can't pronounce and it's called the V8 (http://www.hardware-review.net/html/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=987). It doesn't seem to be that impressive of a cooler to me, but its design is crazy.

its designed after motercycle radiators. which are designed to be moving fast, not having air blown on them...
not to say this wont work for cooling needs. just seems large and akward.

the design is pretty cool, i'll have to give it that.

I personally don't like the cooler. It doesn't perform all that well for how outrageously huge it is as seen here (http://www.frostytech.com/articleview.cfm?articleid=1912&page=4). I just thought it was a pretty crazy design.

I like the Idea of the cooler...heatpipe go to heatsinks blown over by fans. But if it started out as a motorcycle cooler, then it probably is better on motorcycles (really :p). A similar idea (8 heatpipes to radiator fins) should be employed on a Zalman cooler though...it would own massively.

Seems like it would be great, if it the widness of it was downsized, and the base was squared.

If Zalman made that I would think it is good, but not with these guys. Weird design tho.

It's not meant to cool a motorcycle, its design is based off the way air cooled motorcycle engines look. Air cooled motorcycle engines have fins around the cylinders to cool them off, and most of them are v-twins, thus the design of this cooler.

Interesting, but since this isnt going into a motorcycle the tilted heatpipes and fins are rather unnecessary. If they straightened them up so its less wide, could be a great design.

How could they really, wouldnt that ruin the v8 design?

Sure would, but I think this thing is more of a gimick for the newbies that buy pre-mods.

yeah this is designed to look like a v8 not a v-twin. very gimickish although the leds they use are very nice and bright
