X1900XT / X1800XT Resolutions supported?

You can get any LCD you want as these cards will run top res. on any LCD or monitor,Your main concern picking out an LCD will be response time!!!

That resolution is no problem. My old GeForce4 MX440 could do 1080i. The max resolution for both cards is 2048x1536. Also, I recommend the ViewSonic VX2025WM or NEC MultiSync 20WGX2

one thing i have noticed and it niggles me.. is that different ati cards give u a different resolution selection..

with my X850 card i used to get a nice 1400 x 900 widescreen option.. i used this for gaming as an alternative to the 1680x1050.. but with my x1900 card i just dont get the option..

with games like oblvion.. the native 1680x1050 is just too much.. i miss my 1400 x 900.. he he he

odd cos the monitor is plug and play.. windows just gives u the different resolution for a given monitor.. i just get a better selection with a x850 card than i do with the x1900 card..

i have searched high and low for method of changing em but with a plug and play monitor that has no drivers there does not seem a way..

Trog, you can change the resolution the game uses in the Oblivion.ini. The values are named iSize W=

thanks for the info seek but the bottom line seems to be the x1900 card just dosnt suport the 1400 x 900 i used to use a lot with my x850 card..

i get loads of options with the normal in in-game stuff.. i am useing something wierd like 1280 x 800 at the moment.. with 4 x AA running it looks quite nice..

but on your advice i tried to force 1400 x 900 in the obivion.ini..

the game just didnt appear.. he he.. it does kinda suggest the card just dosnt suport that resolution.. odd that the x850 did thow.. not as i could have used it in oblivion with the x850 anyways..

i used to run my desktop at 1400 x 900.. the monitors native 1680 x 1050 make everthing too bloody small..

i now have to run the native resolution and piss about with fonts sizes in everything to make em readable.. but.. life is never perfect.. he he he
