I was an extreme fan of IE until I downloaded firefox and noticed that there were alot less pop ups, it was more stable, I had tabs, it auto-updated...the list goes on. FIREFOX FTW!!!!!

FIREFOX WOOT! Why would explorer be good? Firefox has extensions, themes, almost bug free, and even more. Why settle for less.

Almost bug free? Lol.
One of the main reasons I prefer IE is that I use explorer and Internet explorer for te same thing. Firefox doesn't replace explorer. I never click the "start IE" button, I always use "my computer".
As for vulnerable, it all depends on how you use your browser, I never catch junk on my computer with IE.

I think someone has a slight case of being a bigot... ;)
If Firefox is "almost bug free" then Internet Explorer might as well be called "Virus explorer"
You can go as far as to wear a condom while using IE to be safe, but it isnt going to protect you from all the backdoor exploits and processes in the background that are fundamentally flawed.

What? Firefox is good once you make / download extensions. Bugs HAVE happened, but not often for me.

it really doesn't make any difference. there both have bugs as no software product is prefect, cos it we humans that program the damn things.
i've used the firefox 1.5 before i reformatted last week and im back on IE6. i cant tell any differences, other than you need to download plug-ins for firefox, but with IE6 there in there.
lets see when IE7 & FF2 drops.

IE6 doesn't have any of the stuff I have in FF.
(See attached image for extensions I use, half of which are can't live without additions, to do the stuff those extensions do in some other way with IE would quadruple + my time to work on stuff) http://ganjataz.com/screencaps/ff-ext.jpg
IE is old and to be honest as wank now as it was then. I can't see IE7 being much other than a Firefox rip off featurewise with it's old pigheaded "Microshaft way or who fucking cares" as it always has been. Compatibility issues are already being discussed within the webmaster world regarding what it is gonna support or isn't and so far things don't look favourable. The old addage "Code for/with Firefox and then spend hours trying to fix/hack so IE behaves as it should" will still probably apply.

Firefox. It's just so much more responsive than IE. It didn't matter on dialup but on broadband I just find IE6 irritatingly slow to start loading sometimes.
