I don't know if this is the right section for this, but I need to know. I would be ordering a CPU and a refurbished motherboard, has anyone had experience with them on refurbished items? I am very nervous about ordering ANYTHING off the internet after I got screwed on a video card. Thanks.

well plain and simple newegg rocks. i have over $4,000 in business with newegg.com and about $2,500 in business with tigerdirect.com. i would have to say newegg is much better in customer service and in product selection... if u have any problems its a one in a thousand chance.

I don't live in the states but Newegg seems to be the brand that everyone talks about (in a good way).

I have about $15K ordered from them. They always take care of problems and ship pretty fast.

I have bought MUCH "Refurbished" from then and they still guarantee it. Some of it comes complete and some comes bare. But it all seems to work fine.

i'd have to say if i did have a problem, i would hope i ordered from newegg. i've had to RMA stuff from them in the past and it was actually a painless experience. i have about $1500 in purchases from them just in the past few months and their preferred account stuff is great...even if newegg has a higher price i usually get stuff from them because they ship promptly.

I've done well over 15K in business with them over the last fe years (mostly products i don't carry in my own store I'll get from newegg)
customer service is excellent, warranty is easy, and they ship fast.

i had to RMA an item once, i was just worried because i had never done an RMA, and their RMA page on the website wasnt working, so i sent an email with all the same info from their RMA page like...item#, invoice date, my user ID and within 4 days i got a reply email stating theyre sorry about the inconvenience and they said theyre having server databse problems witht he RMA. and at the bottom was an RMA# saying ready for me to ship.

i got a full refund, no %15 restocking fee, and about 2 weeks later i got another ups tracking number from them labeled "Gift item". LOL an Nvidia SLI tshirt and newegg hat FREE!

the funny thing is the item i RMA'ad was a SLI mobo and i meant to get a crossfire mobo..lol newegg has a sense of humor :)

NEWEGG IS SIMPLY THE BEST!1111!!!!

Newegg is simply the way to go. I hope they would expand Internationally soon for the people who are missing out. :toast:

I never had any problems with newegg. I spent almost $1,000 on upgrades. I never tried their refurb's yet and reading these makes me want to get one soon.

free stickers usually are an option when buying retail heatsink and fan combos, i got one with my VGA and CPU HSnF's.

newegg refurb, honestly is excellent, ive never bought an item refurb that did not work, nor have any of my friends.

from what i hear newegg has a guarantee on refurb items, not sure about this tho.

the only downside is if you dont have any required cables or documentation, you wont get them. $300 video card for $260......i think id understand not getting the cables.
