Gateway computer Intel Motherboard p4 2.0 ghz 400 mhz FSB (need more speed)

:mad: Is it possible to change the FSB speed on my gateway or even the processor speed through a utility i looked at the board and there's no jumpers also ... the bios has no such options it's as if they've tried to make overclocking very difficult is there anything i can do? also is there anyway to improve network proformance by tweaking the packets mtu etc... ?(?) i'd appreciate any response to either questions thanks neeeeed moreeee powerrrrrrr :p

Try to download clockgen(http://www.cpuid.com/clockgen.php) or u can try Setfsb.
another is CPU cool.what is your mobo type(i845,i865 and many more)?

it's a D845GRG you can find info on it at intel .com it's not that old .... i'm gonna try overwriting the newer gateway bios with a slightly older intel bios to see if more features are added oh yeah i appreciate you're responce i'll continue trying to figure it out
