Well, it has come and I was awaiting its arrival for some time. But now I am in a crunch. My computer parts are to be ordered on friday, and I first want to know will the AM2 make it to newegg by then, the mobo? And also, should I get it over the 939?

AM2 isnt worth it. More expensive, and new (buggy) chipsets on the new motherboards.

Oh wazzle, you have made me feel so much better about not being able to get it. And if my SLI did not work, well lets say that would be bad. Go buggy AM2, that way my 939 lives forever!

Wait till AM2. Then get 939. The prices will drop. :P

EVERYTHING I've read said the AM2 isn't worth the price. There is hardly any performance gain, and the bang-for-buck isn't there. In fact, most reviews have it either at a few frames faster, or slower then the current 939 fx-60 CPU or FX-57. Save your money, get either a FX-60 if you need one RIGHT NOW, or wait a month for the new Intel Conroe. Nivida alreadys has chipsets that will work with the new Conroe with SLI. Dell's new XPS 700 is a good example of that.

The memory bandwidth is pretty damn sick though.

from what the reviews show it looks like am2 is the same or a little faster, right now i dont think its worth it, but it migt when all the bugs are fixed
