Which cable shall i get for my new -
Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB 2500KS SATAII 7200rpm 16MB Cache.
And does the connection that goes into IDE 1 on the mainboard diffrent to the end of the cable on SATA cable. ?

Sata is completely different than IDE.

Get the length that you need for the HDD.

Are you still using a IDE HDD?

Yeah still usig IDE HDD. just got my new satta II HDD. so just orderd new cable for it.
I cant use my new sata yet till the new cable comes.
Where would the sata cable connect to on the board ? as u say its diffrent to the IDE 1 connection on the board.

just read your motherboard manual and find where the sata port is. or when you get your new sata cable, just look around the mobo and plug it into the one it fits into; it can only go into one of the many places on the mobo.
