i am considering buying a new case and opting for watercooling.
i am totally new to this so what sort of case would u guys recommend, i considered the thermaltake tai-chi but have some reservation about lack of internal bays and i want to setup the cooling my self rather than have it built in.
i saw this article http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/16watercooling.html and was going to try and get the promodz but after reading the post in these forums on w/cooling i would like to try and make my own kit. i have £200-250 budget for the kit
considerations..
low noise
adding gfx block
any help would be most appreciated

ummm that solution is far too expensive for poor water performance. on the tai chi tt pretty much added a crappy watercooler to entice users to pay the expensive price.
i'd say buy the 50$ cooler master cneturion and build a 300$ water system from dangerden or get a swiftec kit, either will easily quadruple the performance of the tai chi.

i looked around and found these 2 sites
http://www.vadim.co.uk/Cooling+%26+Modding/Watercooling/Water+Kits
http://www.coolercases.co.uk/home.htm
1st link...looks like i only get cpu cooling if i use swiftech so i was looking at the waterchill extreme, wots difference between daul and triple?
2nd link....i can go for a kit or there is a kit builder option so that maybe the best way to go (if i knew wot equipment was best)
wot do u think is best solution from looking at those 2 sites?
going back to cases, if possible i would prefer the kit inside the case so maybe a full tower is my only option. any ideas on wot would definetly fit the bill

personally i would go with the first one. The difference between dual and triple is just the number of fans in the radiator. look at the pictures closely and you can see that the double has 4 fans, the triple has 6. as for full tower cases, do you want a black or silver case? window or no window? take a look at some of these cases http://www.directron.com/fullall.html
i know you live in UK, but it will give you some ideas.

You can still get a Tai-Chi without the water cooling and runs you a lot less money.

True, the dual radiator is fine, but If you want to add other components in the loop such as northbridge, graphics card(s), I would get the triple. But if you're only watercooling your processor, then just get the dual.

I run my entire system on a dual-Radiator. CPU & GPU and both are heavily OC'd. I would suggest a triple if you have 2 x1900s in Crossfire. Otherwise I don't think its needed.
While it looks cool to have all the water cooling internal it is less effecient. Mine is an
external solution and keeps all the heat/exhaust from the radiator away from the case.
Just buy the parts you need and buy quaility stuff. Make sure everything is copper including the radiator and all water blocks. Get some good high speed 120MM's and some rheostats for speed control. Then go to your local hardware store and buy all the tubing, silicon, and fittings you will need. Seriously there is no need in spending money on "Special Tubing".
Water cooling kits are just like Manufactured computers. IF you build your own you get to choose the parts and know they are quaility. Otherwise you are stuck with whatever they put in it and believe me its not all quailty parts.
I run Swiftech Blocks, a Innovatech Dual-CopperCore radiator, and 2 120mm Sanyo fans. I could even add 2 more fans on the backside of the radiator if it was needed, which it isn't.

if your spending that much go to, http://www.voyeurmods.com/index.php?action=category&id=2&subid=251
there are some well priced ones and some realy expensive ones, but there performance is tripple whatever the taichis is

http://www.overclock.co.uk/home.php i probably get case there aswell. full tower section, either.........TT armour va8000swa, coolermaster stacker 830 or lian-li pc767
other parts i will try get from here
http://www.coolercases.co.uk/home.htm
gpu....1/2 maze 4-1 gpu tec
rad...either 1/2" black ice extreme II or III, i not sure here so advise needed please
fluidxp
tygon r3603 1/2" clear hose
think that about covers it just a few questions i need clearing up
1. i assume all my fittings will be 1/2" although an article here http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/showthread.php?t=54331 says use oversized for reservior wot does this mean?
2. do i need any extra fittings etc or will most be included
3. i confused as to wot rad and number of fans needed so help would be appreciated here please

http://www.frozencpu.com/cas-169.html I think thats just a good combo deal.
If you want to get a sick setup go with danger den, or swiftect.... They both make great things. All you need to do for this liquid cooling setup is get a GPU block..

use oversized for resivor so it doesnt restrict water flow goin threw all the loops, get a dual 120mm fan rad, they are alot easier to find a place for and give you great performance, and if you want u can get a single or micro(80mm) rad to go in the loop after the cpu and before the vid card so it cools it better... thats what i was thinking of doing

and its bloody shame a danger den waterblock for a 1900 ati card would cosy me nearly 90 quid.. i have all the rest of the bits.. its just the cost of the gpu block and the hassle of drilling case holes and stuff that stops me fitting it..
one day praps.. he he he

YES CENTURION THATS RIGHT
Check out "car cooled" to see how water cooling fits in a case like this.
