I'm using ATITool 0.0.23 beta 9 with Cat 4.11 on a ATI x800 xt PCI-e (with silencer 4). Im getting stable results at 537/537 but if I go higher I start getting artifacts. The problem is that I'm only at 75 degrees celsius which is still relatively cool. Why is this? I know that the xt uses 2ns memory whereas the PE uses 1.6ns but I dont really have a clue what that means. Is that the cause?

I don't know about Vid card cores but for processor temps, 75C, that's 167F is heading close to critical. You're about to be able to boil water with your card. Check your heatsink and fan to make sure proper contact has been made.

Artifacts can result from overclocked memory as well. 1.6ns memory can theoratically be clocked higher when compared to 2.0ns memory. I'm not sure but I think the 1.6ns memory is rated at 1250mhz (I could be wrong, try googling to confirm). When you say "If i go higher" which is it, Core or mem?
Does your silencer cools the ram as well? If it doesnt, try getting some ram sinks.
