A stock x1800xt or x1900xt/xtx cooler will beat both of them. The accelero x2 blows hot air INTO your case, and the vf900 gets beaten by the stock cooler, temp wise. I would go for the accellero x2 though, over the vf900 at least.

well right now my x1800xl is at 680/700 on my x1900xt's HS at 93%( at 100% makes a wistling sound) is keeping it at 49C, but since my PC is in my room and sometimes i left it on for the night; the fan gets a lil bit noisy, i just want something just as good but NOT that noisy.

Ah... then I would go for the VF900.

The stock cooler on both a x1800xl and x1800xt sound like hair dryers when you overclock them. I know I have one a x1800xt and its got a Zalman on it. The x1900xt in sli configuration, however, does have a good heatsink and fan. Also on my x1800xt I have had both a Accelero and Zalman. I stayed with the Zalman because the Accelero blows hot air directly on the motherboard . Where the Zalman just blows it in the case. The Accelero is good however. Good luck they both are very good coolers and it just a matter of which one looks better I gess Zalman wins hands down on the looks part . I wish Arctic would have stuck with the Silence style.

Poge Who in the heck told you the x1800xts stock cooler beats a Zalman 900vf vga cooler. Thats not true at all period ive had all three coolers we are talking about here and in no way does the stock cooler on a x1800xt beat Zalman or Accelero . The x1900xts only matches them and its loud. The Accelero is silent and the Zalman can barely be heard and I mean barely.

Yes it does. It includes 8 alluminum ram sinks.

VF900. If it can tame a 7800GT to 55c full load its doing something right.

about the accelero x2 blowing the hot air on teh mobo; is that dangerous? because the only thing that has a heatsink in my mobo is my southbrige and its really far away from my pci-e slot.

i went with the x2, the x1 on my old 7800gt @510core kept everything at 52*c load, after i installed 2 80mm fans blowing on the card and a blowhole on top, before that it was a 64*c, but as long as your case has good airflow the x2 will perform amazing.. ill tell you how it works tomarrow when i get my x1800xt

i`d also suggest VF900.it has a great advantage that it does not transfer the heat throughout all the card like the silencers-acceleros.pretty quiet also.

i have the accelerox2 and it hasnt gone over 70*c yet... thats also cuz i have fresh air constantly on it, and getting pulled away so the hott air on the mobo isnt a problem

Guys, the stock cooler is quite loud, but at full speed, it beats the vf-900 and the accellero x2, strictly temperature wise, and even more so (although not necessary), if you have applied AS5 and lapped the stock HSF.

yeah but it sounds like a hairdryer and i can hear it from acrss the house, tho ur right the cooling properties of it are pritty beastly, its a good heatsink but needs a quieter operation... i wish ac had some sort of cooling solution like the iceq3, but maybe more gigantic, like a modified version of the stock heatsink, that blows air out.
