Hi . The new X1900 GT has just been released which has a pared down R580 core using just 36 of the 48 pixel processors . Any ideas of the possibility of modding this card to get the full 48 processors working

No one's really tried...yet. You should google it and see if others have had any success. But besides that, I'm not too sure.

Turn using RivaTuner, its usually a good starting point to find out whether there are any pipelines available to be opened

Sadly, the GT probably will have a low mod rate. However clocking the snot out of it shouldn't be too much of an issue
