Something went wrong when backing up my bios, and I donīt have my club3d x1800rx bios anymore! (atiflash wrote a .txt file, and bios editors give errors, wouldnīt dare to flash it).

My card runs with Sapphire x1800xl bios ATM, but itīs not unlocking and now I canīt even change core voltage...and there might be other issues also. :(

If anyone has x1800rx, PLEASE, it would be wonderful if you could backup/dump it and email it to me....seriously, this situation eats me alive.. :banghead:

Itīs like a x1800GTO 256Mb, but itīs Club3dīs own Rage Extreme (rx) model.

So, itīs a "Club3dīs x1800 GTO 256Mb", but official name is x1800rx 256Mb. I donīt know if it packs some extra features, cause I have later noticed itīs a bit more expensive than the rest of the x1800 GTO:s, and Club3d is somewhat braggin about that Rage Extreme thing.

I really need the original BIOS, nothing else seems to quite work right.. :(

you can put a normal x1800GTO from direct 3d or any manofacturer, i think it was a little more expensive because they OCed it a bit.

Really? I canīt remember how it was with the default bios, but with x1800XL bios I can see all the temps and amps and change memory voltage with ATI Tool. I actually tried putting in a Sapphire x1800 GTO 256Mb bios, but I lost the ability to see or do any of those things, at least with Ati Tool, so I thought the bios is somehow acting strange...

Is this just a common Ati Tool problem, or related to using the wrong bios? See, this is one of the main reasons I thought it would be best to get the default bios...

it happened to me when i tried to flash my x1800xl to XT, its really tricky you gotta work with like no visibility, i managed to pull it off, but if is too much for you could fladh before entering WINDOWS by making a boot disk.

?

My card is working ATM, if thatīs what you mean, but with X1800XL bios, and if nothing else, it doesnīt let me change core voltage. I have already tried to flash with my failed backup bios, and it caused black screen of death. I saved the card with an auto-flash floppy I made, and now Iīm again stuck with the x1800XL bios.

If I flash with different GTO bios, Ati Tool doesnīt show me any temps or ampers, and wonīt let me control any voltages or fan. So I donīt think different GTO bios is a good solution....causes that kind of odd behavior. :(
