Amperage question

In ATI Tool I notice it says 27.2A when scanning for artifacts. What I would like to know is how is this calculated? Does it take CPU overclock into consideration .. also there are things like DVD drives and what not.

Ok did quick test, at 2.4ghz 218x11 1.55v with 625/750 1.35v ATITool says 30.0A. At 1.6ghz 200x8 1.45v with 625/750 1.35v ATITool says 30.0A too.

So my guess is that this amperage value is only a rough guide and not an actual estimation based on CPU speed and how many peripherals. I think my system does use near to 30A when I got CPU at 2.75ghz but more like 25A at 2.4ghz.
