Hey,
I was just wondering if there was any way to tell what core my 9800 is without removing the heatsink(the lil bugger is on there tight and cant get the clips to let go)?

Use ati tool and click the settings tab. Do not change any settings though unless you know what you are doing because it is an overclock utility. It will identify your core also. I like version 0.22 it works for me!

There's no other way knowing what GPU core you have by removing the heatsink and looking at the core yourself.. ALL software read the GPU core type from the card BIOS...

AtiTool just displays what the vidcard bios tells it, so if you have an R360 core with the R350 bios, atitool will identify your core as an R350.
