This poll is multiple choice, and I'm asking which browser you use. I'd say tick the box if you use it around an hour or more each week, so using Windows Update doesn't mean you have to tick IE. I've included the major browsers out there, but if you use another say which and post any comments below. :toast:

I use 3 of them!

(In this order (largely/MOSTLY, Opera 8.54, but recently 9.0 since it just released)):

1.) Opera 8.54 - 9.0 (a good 90% of the time on these 2)

2.) FireFox (5% of the time, maybe)

3.) IE 6.x (Windows Server 2003 "hardened/secured" SP #1 + hotfixed build - 5% of the time, maybe)

IE I usually HAVE TO deal with when doing ASP.NET related work & studies here, as it is used by Visual Studio 2003-2005 for this as the default browser (but, other browsers run ALL of the ASP.NET stuff too, just not ActiveX's if they are used))

* :)

APK

P.S.=> IE7b1 I tried in beta #1: Was ok in beta for the most part!

However, IE7b1 hosed up IE6.x on XP on me, even when I used LOCAL to a folder switches running it via a batchfile, etc. on Windows XP, & uninstall wasn't possible!

BUT, IE7b1 on Windows Server 2003 SP #1 I could do IE7 fine w/out hosing up IE6.x using those same isolation mode of IE settings... apk

Firefox almost all the time, with some IE7 just to test it out (very pretty), and Opera when I'm playing with the school macs (forgot to select it, but oh well.).

Heh, I am one of them myself...

:)

* I use them all - browsers today are like nearly the same as far as featuresets & useability, but not in performance, or security in tests @ least.

Still, they are much like today's Disk Defraggers (Execsoft Diskeeper, O&O Defrag, Raxco PerfectDisk), Decompressors (WinZip/WinRar), System Restoration Programs (GHOST, DRIVEIMAGE, TRUEIMAGE) vs. 1 another in competition:

ALL OF THOSE FAMILIES/TYPES OF SOFTWARES, IMO?

Damn near the same in quality + features &/or performance!

(Though, again, as far as browsers are concerned: Opera has been shown overall the fastest & least bug/vulnerability ridden... why I tend to use it is because of those reasons).

I used Opera because it was the only one we were allowed to use on the schools macs .

No one uses Netscape so far, I used to find it quite good if not a little slow to load.

A LITTLE slow? If there's one thing that gives me a hate for Mac 9, it's netscape lol. The school i was in was on a T1 line and it felt like the mac lab was networked on dial up .
