My dad is using his new comp in the living room, but he can't see half of it because it's too small. I went and changed some settings to make it big...but only the Windows XP stuff is big, like Start, and the Close, minimize, and maximize buttons, but besides that, the websites aren't bigger, they're really small from about 10ft. away. Do you guys know how I could change this to make everything bigger?
Thanks,
Azn

But my dad wants it 1920x1080 @ 60Hz...and what BigD said worked...but only on a few websites...not all...and it's still really small...

Right click on the desktop, properties, settings, advanced, general, and change the DPI setting.

"But my dad wants it 1920x1080 @ 60Hz"

i could ask why..???

or simply laff and say put up with the pissy little fonts u get with running too high a resolution for the actual screen size.. on a big screen the fonts look okay on a smaller one they just get too small.. and on a smaller screen u dont need the super resolution anyways..

its a problem with lcd monitors in the fact u cant just pick a resolution that automatically give nice font sizes..

nothing just makes "everyting" bigger only some things.. he he he

Probably because 1920x1080 @ 60Hz is the 1080p HDTV standard :p.
