Hey, I was wondering what 3Dmark06 scores were from different people so I could compare. I couldn't believe the "seemingly" terrible results I got using 3DMark06 with my computer. It averaged out at like 10 FPS?! and my score was 4200 something. Check out my specs and see if this makes any sense. Thanks.

Demon i'ld say your scores look about right. 3dmark06 is a huge intense 3d video card killing machine. i prefer not to run it on my system at all to save me from the pain :)

Your score is because you have no SM3.0 and therefore 2 of the tests do not run so it's actually quite respectable. The test in fact is as heavy on the CPU as it is on the GPU and 2 cores make a HUGE difference, with my Graphic card on a Venice 3200@ 2.7Gig I was getiing 4500, add the dual core 4200, overclock to 2.8Gig and take a peek at my siggie now!!!

Oh alright. I was getting concerned that something was wrong, especially when it went to the CPU tests because it was reading 0-1 FPS. I was freakin out, but only a little bit.... My X2 3800+ is still at it's default clock of 2000 MHz, so we'll see what happens when I start overclocking it this week.

On stock cooling you should easily get it to around 2400, may be getting a bit warm thn though! You will never do your CPU full justice in the test until you have SM3.0 however, you are gettting only 4 scores instead of 6.

no i dont like it either TBH, 2005 is the best test for graphics power but in 2006's defense it is more of a "system performance" tool, it does take into account the CPU and memory bandwidth, I like it a little better now that I have a dual core and SM3.0!!! but tooo many bugs for my liking.

yeah see i dont have a dual core so i dont like it yet... scores lower than they should be

I'll have to look into whatever this SM3.0 is. I'm not sure what it is yet but will soon find out.
