Dammit! some fucker of a vampire bit me sleeping now I cant go out in daylight without frying like an egg! :mad: I figured out how to bite but that doesnt help much it still hurts in daylight. So to the point, 1. How in the blue hell do I cure being a vampire? and 2. I was banned from the mages guild and now I need to collect 20 of something and 20 of something else, where can I find the items?

Tell me about it, it blows majorly. On a side note I cant see where pplwere complaining of bad frames in oblivon I get nice fps 90% of the time, there are a few areas where things slow down a tad but its still acceptable and I have most settings maxed. Only area things tend to slow down is in heavy forest areas with lots of swaying grass, bushes, trees etc. even then its not terrible tho.

you are already a vampire? oof. when i was bitten, i went to a church and prayed. this was when i had contracted a disease, i don't think i was full out vampire yet. maybe try that? it also cured me when i got this thing from a zombie where my mana wouldn't recharge. good luck dude! there is a place in talos plaza that deals with vampire issues, maybe a place to start? but they might kill you. if you don't know where it is, i will go check. let me know!

I already went to those guys, no help at all. On the plus side that knight who guards them upstairs was wearing daedric armour (all except the helm) and was carrying a daedric claymore, so figuring I got lucky I killed him and took the armour and claymore for myself :D

Next I tried praying...didn't work. Just "Repent your sins, wicked one!" errrm...I thought thats what I was trying to do by praying. :S So yea, I'm a full blown vampire and I'm screwed really, all this has gone on and before I've even taken the 4 mythic dawn books to tara-meena. I have done just about every single sidequest tho thatI've found, purely so things are tidy before moving on to a different area completely like Morrowind. Oh and as revenge I want to go slay every fucking vampire there is, how do I find em?

Peeps with the vampire problem: Suck on loads of necks one night, like 15-20, youcan suck the same person if you want all those times. You will temporarily be a daywalker. (like 3-4 days or something)

K this blows. jus read up on the places in oblivion, and unlike the official site would have you believe, you dont get to explore hammerfell\morrowind etc. this blows 100%. was looking forward to fighting weird orcish bandits and crazed dark elves etc. bad, bad bethesda.

to all who are tired of being a vampire, check this:

if you already are a vampyre (--> you´ve been infected for more than 3 days, you have nightmares, red eyes, all that...), talk to one of the healers in a temple or chaple (no matter which one) and ask him about curing vampyrism... he´ll send you off to the mages university at imperial city. one of the mages there tells you to go to skingrad castle.talk to Hassildor, he´s also looking for a vampyrism-antidot, and tells you to find the old witch living south of cheydinal. she agrees to help you, and sends you out to get all the ingredients she needs to brew the potion (that´ll take some time....). after bringing all the stuff back to her you have to wait 1 more day, and there you go...

ok, they want you to bring them 20 dragon´s tongue and 20 redwort flowers; the guilded charafe at imperial city has both items in stock (perhaps you have to wait until they stock it up). so you can´t get that "cure vampyrism"-quest when you´ve benn suspended from mages guild? hmmm.... didn´t know that, i´ve only been suspended from the fighter´s guild... :D

Also, I never could have joined the mage's guild because I have killed and stolen and I don't know how to get rid of those. So I'm getting to be a vampire and can't join mage's guild; how f*cked is that!

OK I have read on wikipedia (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Cure_Vampirism) about the vampire cure and what to do, they talk about skingrad and I can't go there, I have a guy chasing me and who wants to take me to jail. I just need to get rid of the bounty on my head. The rest I'll just do the dark brotherhood mission of curing vapyrism.

Armand.... Pay his charge, well he doesn't give me a charge. Seems I don't have a bounty, but in Skingrad, it all turns bad with this unique guard with bald red head. When you got 34K on you and about 50 weapons worth 100K+ ... I don't want to go to jail in Skingrad just for a small bounty that I can't seem to remember how that came to be.

Have you ever seen a guard just beat the shit outta some poor guy. It's shit ass funny. Then all the beggars come and help out fight the guard, and he kills em all, then loots em and walks off. roflmao.

OK I installed a small add-on that daily decreases bounty (http://www.tescreens.be/oblivionmodwiki/index.php/Bounty:_Regional) , and it fixed it! Next day, I can talk to any guard in any city and they don't throw me in jail for nothing anymore. Thank goodness!

Now all I'm missing is one Master Soul gem, and the witch will cure my Vampire disease!

yea. was purely accidental on my part. that first quest they send you off on where your not allowed to kill the mage only a full member of the guild. well i ended up killing the mage, it was instinctual on my part, something was attacking me and i just automatically went into KILL! mode.

Problem completing this quest "Separated at Birth....", well I am on the high lighted part, waithed in that town for 2 days and he still has not showed up... anyone have any idea why?

You begin this quest by talking to a townsperson and asking about
"Rumors." They mention that they've seen Reynald Jemane in Cheydinhal, but he
always ignores them, even though they're acquaintences.

So now you have to find Reynald Jemane and talk to him. He tells you
that he's a wee bit drunk and that he's never been to Cheydinhal. Also, he
wants you to go to Cheydinhal to find out who's impersonating him. He offers
50 gold for you trouble.

Travel to Cheydinhal. Talk to someone (I asked a guard) about Reynald
Jemane, and they'll tell you that there is a Guilbert Jemane living in
Cheydinhal at the Newlands Lodge. You'll find Guilbert there. Talk to him
and click on the topic "Reynald Jemane" and he'll discuss how his mother thought
that Reynald was dead. He'll also say he's going back to Chorrol to reunite
with Reynald. Awwww, how cute.

Now head back to Chorrol (you'll probably beat Guilbert there, so wait
for a bit once you get there. The brothers will have a little chat while you
watch. Mission accomplished.

Reward: Fame +1

Another thing I started over from my first charcter, and now I just got 2 save spots because my old charcter is takign up the other spots from before, so I cant go back wasted 2 days sleeping and looking around in Chorrol :S

Update: figured out how to delete a past saved game, "Shift + click".

completed> lvl 30> something like 100 missions complete, and the dragon armour sucks. Deadric armour is better than it, especially when u add some abilities to the deadric armour. as for sigil stones, just click on it when your carrying one, rest is self explanatory ;)

Glich In the game.....go out one of ther nearby Castle Gates and then re-enter......He should be there..........Did you Fast Travel back to the city or travel by foot?

I agree Ketxxx....the Dragon Armor does Indeed suck.....and looks like crap. :)

About Sigil stones......If you don't learn how to use them......then you won't go as far as you can In the game.....Sigil stones rock.

Best thing that happened to me was a glich In the game.....I had gotten blessed by a moonstone with some Deadra weapons.....but they never left me.....I was able to keep them....and they didn't wiegh anything......I Enchanted the Sword with Fire from a Sigil stone to amplify the attack power....and Enchanted the Armor as well.....the really cool part was It wouldn't let me get rid of the sword...I'd toss It In a chest and I'd still have It....I filled the chest with them....and was able to Carry as many as I wanted because they didn't wiegh anything. LMAO

As far as a Vampire cure.....always carry a bottle of "Cure Desease" and drink It within 3 days of being bitten....bam...your cured.

As far as my progress goes...
I'm at or around Level 26....cannot remember how many missions completed....been about a week since I fired It up.

But I got my lock picking spell up to 100, anyone know if there is a very hard lock spell? and why I cant seem to pick it from wizards. I'm a warrior

I got a good question. Apparently the dark brotherhood sanctuary isnt the only one within the boundaries you getto explore in the game, so where the hell are all the others? anybody found them?

AAahhhh, completed the main quest, and now all the Oblivion gates are shut! Soon I will have the Dragon Armor (2 game weeks). But 2 weeks is nothing compared to my almost 40 days as a vampire. Mind you night vision is quite interesting + life detect. And not only that, but it's right under my "blood of the north" spell, which is quite convenient.

So, main quest completed, and I'm level 20, 54 quests completed. And the Dragonfire has done it's wrath over lord Dagon! So long Lord Dagon! No more "For Lord Dagon!!!" assassins!

First off i'd like to state that, you don't get bitten by a vampire on this game. They use a spell on you causing you to "contract" the disease (mainly why i try to avoid doing vampire related quests) but one of the main quests consists of killing them so...
there are TWO ways of curing this.
1: As SOON as the disease has been contracted, pray at an alter. (no joke, it's that easy) UNLESS you are infamous (one kill is all it takes) in that case....

There is the link, it shows you advantages / dis-advantages of vampirism and how to cure it the LONG way if your infamous. Trust me if you are infamous, you shall regret killing and becoming a vampire... it takes a while.

NOW your mages guild question, nobody can tell you where to collect those ingredients unless you tell us what they are because for each time anyone is kicked out of the mages guild the ingredients change.

About curing Vamparism it's easy for me as head of the mages guild I have a chest that dupes any ingredient you put in it 10 times! So all I need is one of each of the ingredients!

First off, I will admit, I am an Oblivion addict. One of my characters is Level 35, she's done EVERY quest, shut all the Oblivion gates, all the expansions, master of all the guilds, etc. :laugh:

If you have the Vile Lair expansion, you can heal yourself with the Font of Renewal from Vamparism. I didn't realise that and did the quest to get the cure...ok it's really hard at level 20 :P

Play the game the way it is before you add any major mods like OOO. I didn't really like that one. I like the game just the way it is.

Lost Spires is one of the best mods I have played.

Tons of loot, and you get a very, very powerful sword.
