Hi,
I have just recently bought a new pc. The Soprano case comes with 3 fans, one at the back and front, and one on the side. They all have 2 power connector cables to each fan. Do I need to connect both power connectors to my power supply, or is just one enough? They seem to be working ok with only one at the moment. I have a Gigabyte motherboard, and using the Easy Tune 5 monitor, its doesnt detect the fanspeeds. Thanks!

What do the power connectors look like are they identical? If one is male and the other is female then it's just so you can connect another device to the power supply along with the fan if you don't have enough power cables. If one is a small three pin connector then it plugs into the motherboard to draw power from there and monitor/control fan speed while the large 4 pin would plug directly into the power supply. You shouldn't use both just one or the other.

You only need one connection for them to work. The other may be either a passthrough or for people without the right type of power suppy or motherboard to power the newer connections. Could you post a pic of the fans?

The 4 pin connection is power, the 3 pin connector only has the yellow wire for RPM monitoring. You can connect both, but only the 4 pin one will give power to the fan.
