I had a Jetway 939GT4-SLI-G-VC, but it was different from the Jetway shown below...I RMA'd (still on the proccess) and I'm getting a refund, not replacement...so I have a choice between these two...
Jetway 939GT4-SLI:

Which one?
ABIT is way more reliable source than Jetway, and it's a popular board for overclocking.
Otherwise I'd suggest you'll take a huge chance with the Jetway.
Cons: carp southbridge fan! almost too high for any graphics that sticks back there, plus poor cooling no real software support for temp monitoring. not a jetway issue, but annoying. difficult for OCing with load temps from your link

Did you even go to the overclocking section of the Jetway review?

I didn't, but now I just did. Hmmm... Puzzling. Seems like some nice performance is obtainable with this one. Thgoe cooling is important after all. The board might give you some slack, but your components will still heat the same.

hey! that's my review from newegg! notice i still rated it 5/5, cuz i love the board. i have no experience with that abit, and my latest abit expereince is from building my familys comp in 2000/2001 ish. i think the jetway is great, you know this already tho aljon. i just really wanted to say that that's my review on newegg! my con was limited to the southbridge and the support from systool, for example. i was commenting on OCing the cpu is difficult due to lack of temp monitoring, as there are no heating issues caused by the mobo. a thermocouple would do nicely tho. maybe i will write the part for systool to do the temp reading.....

Wow...I'm still stuck in between the two...and Andrew, there are temp monitors for the Jetway, the SmartGuard that came on the CD, but I'm not sure how accurate it is...
And _33...is the heatpipe on the ABIT AN8 SLI good?

Jetway is really good for overclocking and good quality. Cheap too. I believe I discussed this with another person in this forum. Abit is alright ( I think its a spinoff of ASUS or that may be ASrock) but Im not too keen on them. Id go with Jetway again, just because its cheap, quality and good for overclocking.

Read this AN8 review instead-

Starting at 200 MHz I increased the mobo clock speed slowly in 10 MHz intervals. The ABIT AN8-SLI was a pleasure to work with and didn't pose any problems until the 260 MHz mark. At this speed, HyperTransport was causing a "67" error on the Port 80 card, and failed to POST. Lowering the HTT multiplier from 5x to 4x solved that issue. The next hurdle came at 270 MHz when the DDR memory started to flake out, causing BSOD or crashing benchmarks. This time we had to lower the divider to 100 MHz, its lowest setting.
At 290 MHz I had to raise the nVidia NF4-SLI chipset slightly to 1.7V, if I did not the AN8-SLI would occasionally BSOD while loading Windows, or lock up at the POST screen. After that, things were pretty much smooth sailing and the board coasted all the way up to 343 MHz, anything higher and the system would not POST.
IMO the Jetway board looks like a cheap piece of trash, and I have never even heard of the brand before. ABIT is famous for their bios features, and that review is from August of 2005, so Abit has surely released new bios's that allow even more overclocking.

yeah, its a damn good review. What shocks me about it is, the fact that it beat the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum SLi and Neo4 Platinum Ultra in most of those benchmarks. Ive recently read up on Jetway, but theyve been around for a few years. I usually tend to buy with those who are in the know and have their names out there (AMD, MSI, ASUS, etc) but Jetway is a solid, stable performer, great overclocking features, decent price/quality. Abit was down for awhile, thats why they got no love for me. But that board reviewed is solid. Id still say Jetway, but Abit is looking good too. Or you could go with a DFI Lanparty. Newegg has them on sale ::HAHA::
EDIT: Ooer, just checked the newegg link, you get a 20 dollar rebate (mail-in) with the ABIT board. So it makes it 10 bucks cheaper than the Jetway. (64.99 as opposed to 74.99 with the jetway)

abit it is then i guess.lol
is your gfx card bottlenecking your sys a bit?.thats quite a chip, but your card is getting a bit tired now.
Jetway has been around since the 286 because I remember I had a Jetway in 1989.

Yes they've made a nice niche for themselves. That board in particular had Anandtech all in love with it. Very good layout in fact. But if I was basing on Price (as both boards rule) Id go Abit, just because, like I said, newegg.com is offering a $20 USD mail in rebate for it. So it winds up being $10 USD cheaper. Couldnt go wrong either way!
