WoW servers

I read that there are 41 servers (and an additional 34 coming), and 100K players at once over 41 servers on day one. Comes to about 2500 players per server. Are these servers connected? could a player on server 1 play with some1 on server 10? Is it one huge cluser? or 41 seperate worlds?

That's probably akin to how Earth & Beyond's server scheme was layed out: There were five or so different "galaxies" (read: servers or server hives) and a given character could only be in that one galaxy (so you couldn't switch off). Also, you couldn't play with (or against, in PvP) players in other galaxies.

But fourty one different servers is a hell of a lot.

I read "somewhere" that later in the final release it will be possible to switch servers. Anyone knows that for sure?

you cant use the same char on different i think, but yes you can change.
