Yesterday I downloaded the beta version of Windows Media Player including Urge and tried it out. I'm not a skilled computer user and realize now that I shouldn't have tried to use a beta version of WMP. I downloaded a video but couldn't find it in the library. I did a search and was informed that no items match the file I had just downloaded. I tried "recently added" and got the same reply.
I tried to download the earlier version and was informed I couldn't proceed because a later version was already installed.
I uninstalled Urge in the control panel and it's no longer listed there but the program is still on my computer.
I uninstalled Windows Media Player under add/remove Windows components but the program is still on my computer.
I have Windows XP on a PC. I'd appreciate advice. Kim
