Hey guys,
I wanna back up my halo 2 disk to my xbox. I tried using dvd2xbox but the game wont launch!
Any idea what i should do? The reson i want to back it up is because my disk is getin more and more scrached up.

If you had the PC version of the game you could do a noCD crack :p (yes I know halo 2 isn't coming out for the PC for a while).

the halo2 disk is bigger then 4.7gb, so you cant dump the image to a normal DVD, there was a patch around to make it fit in 4.7gb and make it work

and the game is fun.

I wish people would stop caring only at how you can gawk at the graphics and everythign sucks unless it looks good...

Command and conquer red alert has pixelized objects and still beats a lot more games no contect in terms of replayability and enjoyment...

Obviously you haven't played Halo...it's one of the best games on Xbox, and it helped it at it's launch. The graphics aren't the best, but it did come out the same time as the Xbox. Halo IMO is still better than Halo 2. The only reason Halo 2 is a succes is because of XBL...but a lot of people still play Halo on LANs and XBC.

Does anyone here have Halo 2 and play it on Xbox Live? What's your level? I'm 42!

Halo 2's graphics put the likes of doom 3 to shame, especially when you play it on the 360. its like AA & AF have been turned on full wack, it so pretty! :D

also its not made by microsoft, its made by bungie and published by microsoft under there name.

I used to have an XBOX...and it rocked...but then I disocvered PC's are just WAAAAY better, so I sold the piece of shit....and got a PC...and now I game and upgrade for fun.

I had both Halo 1 and 2, and they were cool...a bit short...and the graphics were only good for a console..on PC, they're absolute crap

X1300's are only on the HP because they are MediaCenters, and they need a graphics card to play video at least at a decent quality. It(X1300) get's like 9 FPS on Doom 3 1600x1200, which is really low. My Xbox can play Doom 3 on High Definition easily(if you didn't know, HD is 1920x1080)

I know that...Doom 3 is for Xbox ONE, and Doom 3 can handle High definition. There's settings on the menu, it lets you choose between 480i(720x480 30Hz), 480P(720x480 60Hz), 720P(1280x720 60Hz) or 1080i(1920x1080 30Hz)...

Actually It's just doing a quick revamp to that resolution. Inlike what most people believe, even the Xbox 360 doesn't render at a full HD resolution. It's just being squeezed into the screen.

Not even SLI can play games with HD res's. such as doom 3, especially.. :wtf: (well, 1080i now, anyways)

Either way, both rock depending on how you use them.. modded xbox can be immensly fun if you mod them the way I do and have a bunch of friends over!

The xbox 360 can output any resolution with the vga adapter. My friend bought one and plays his 360 at 1280x1024 on his 19" crt. Its pretty awesome :D

Halo 1 at 1280x1024 with 4x aa and whatever AF looks AWESOME.

But you missed my point completely. Its ADAPTED to HD resolution. I can run 1600x1200 using S-Video if I had a VGA card capable of rendering XXXX game at that, and I can safely guarantee it would look much better...

wait, I have.. ever see doom 3? ;) 1600x1200 looks beautiful...

The xbox is nowhere near capable of even playing halo at that "native" resolution as many times it will drop to a very low framerate at the standard 640x480.

ADAPTED means its not requiring any extra GPU power.

Nothing, except a computer is even capable of HD NATIVE. Why do you think one of the first hd-dvd players is a p4-m? ;)

So your XBOX is modchipped then to play backups? If yes do you have EvolutionX installed as an alternative dashboard? If yes just use the ProjectX HDD loader (Px HDD Loader V1.0a or higher) to save the game to your HDD ;)

i tried all that. i am using the original halo 2 game disk. its not pirated... I am running an xecuter 2.6 lite with X2 5035 bios.

ok, the original xbox, has a Geforce 3 level graphics chip, the thing is that becuase an Xbox is producing graphics are 738x480, well, your providing decent graphics quality at a low resolution, considering games like need 4 speed most wanted, which looks like a fried turd on the xbox, but the thing is that gaming was one of the minimal uses i gave the xbox,

i had 2000 mame roms loaded, around 150 neogeo roms, its a great divx/dvd player, especialy becuase i could just FTP the movies to the hard drive, good internet radio/shoutcast reception device, it even gut me weather forcasts from weather.com, decent machine,
