im having a serious problem and its very annoying when i try to play with my friends. some servers i try to join it goes about half way and it shuts down my counter strike. i was wondering if its something to do with my router or my internet. i have a netgear wgr 614V6.

What you should to do fix the problem is the following:

1. Open up your steam games list
2. Right click on Counter Strike Source and go to Properties
3. Then go to the Local Files Tab
4. Then press " Verify Intergrity Of Game Cache"

I would also recommend doing this with all your other games. Its definitely not a problem with your router, but with a file in your Counter Strike folder, this will repair it. Good Luck and Happy Gaming :)

"you scrub" it has nothing to do wit internet for sure. if it did it would disconnect you from the whole steam program and all dem internet software i remember i had that when i first got my comp.dunno how i fix it

first of all theres no reason to say "you scrub", i understand ur new here but every1 is respected no matter there knowledge of computers. as i said in my post before its nothing to do with the internet, so ur post in effect is just there to offend someone. just like u said "u dunno how to fix it". this brings to mind a good phrase, "if you dont have anything good to say, don't say it."

All my HL1 games/mods such as counter-strike 1.6, firearms 3.0 and half-life don't seem to be able to join servers. while loading the verification thing, it will kill the exe and go to my desktop. I think it is software related

Steam act's up alot, I always get that user ID ticket issue.
