a lame question...
i have an ECS SV400 mobo, and it's w/o the P4 connector. Will Semprons run on it? The update tells me it has support, but then why is the damn plug there anyway?

Halki ... it's an AMD board from what I can tell ... To run a Sempron you'll need a BIOS upgrade here (http://www.ltcom.com/page/FAQ/AMD%20Sempron%20Support%20on%20ECS%20741GX-M%20and%20Syntax%20SV400.htm)

the "p4 connector" is just an additional 12v connector which feeds more power to the motherboard. some board will work without it connected, some wont. its either in your manual or you have to just try

well, it's not in the manual, because at that time they did fit in the P4 motherboards only. Anyways, i'll give it a shot. Thanx for the link, Urlyin :)
