basically found a website where you can watch music videos, watched one that it won't let you download but you can watch it in an explorer window. Won't this file then be hidden somewhere on my computer??
no idea where to look on my computer so if anybody even understands what i'm on about and can point me in the right direction that's be cool.

it's in your temporary internet folder. easiest way is to go to drive cleanup, then go to view folder for temporary internet files, do a search on the folder for *.*, sort by biggest files, then find the movies you viewed. I doubt winxp will let you run it from that folder so copied to your desktop beforehand. This is how i do it, there might be a easier way.

If its an asf stream u can use asfrecorder to record it, there are most likely similar program's for other formats.
Also, can't you get the exact link to the movie from the HTML source?
