i dont think the cable is what's holding it in, combatting the centripetal force. i think it's riding that wall/floor nook, but i don't know. supposedly it's pulling 600g's ( i think 100 tops) but either way a wire like that would break under that much force (i think)

Well, if it is riding on the cable, 100g means 100x it's regular gravitational weight. Lets say it weighs 25lb, that's 2500lb. There are cables that can handle that.
