IQ increase when purchasing a Mac? The Mac Rant!

so this is sort of something that has been eating at me for sometime now and i feel the need to bitch about it, here it goes. WHAT THE FUCK IS UP WITH ALL OF THESE MAC USERS! First off, as the title of this post asks, why do Apple users think theyre IQ goes up when they purchase one? Searching through forums for G5 case mods, Ive been reading alot of shit lately, bullshit that Mac users have to say. First off, i guess when one buys a mac, they simply know everything there is to know about computers. IQ up! I always read this shit about how, "oh i owned a Dell and then i bought this iMac and now ive been using Macs for 4 years because they always run faster!" Well thats a major frickin' Duh! for ya! Anyting runs faster than a Dell because Dell is simply evil incarnate! They also throw words around like processor, or logic board, or TINKER, i fucking hate that word now, tinker, they all fucking say tinker grrr. Anyway, i recently read a tutorial for Mac users on how to build a PC if you have a little extra time to tinker with PC stuff (yes they all refer to PC hardware as stuff like it's plagued with leprosy)and a little extra cash laying around. Then he went off on PC trying to discourage the user from building one or rather seeming like it. The he on saying that The P4 IS, and I quote, "A better performer than any AMD processor, The only thing that would make them slightly better performing is the bolt-on memory controler has a little extra bandwith and is only necessary for gamers." He also said that memroy is not an important part of the system, any cheap stick of ram will do. :shadedshu. He also bashed ATX, hedidnt know what it ment but "he knew" that BTX was just some much better and plentiful! Finally, what the fuck is up with these Mac users thinking that Mac hardware is sooo much better. I mean if run a new Mac, youre running a PC essentially! What about people saying how much the old G5 processors, ie IBM proccys, ran so well. Ive read how hot these things get and how much power they consume, these things would run at like 60C by default! I dont remeber how many volts they used to run but i do remember thinking, Damn, thats more than the Pentium 4! Oh and those Mac commercials, that one "Mac guy" needs to shut the fuck up because the PC guy is awesome!:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

(OR, the sources making the statements, & THEIR expertise + credentials, IF ANY @ ALL, & there are PLENTY of those out there, spouting inaccurate b.s.)

Especially today in the world of "bloggers"! Time was, when you actually had to have certifications, degrees, & YEARS of (if not decades of) experience professionally in a field of endeavour, before you were taken seriously in this field, or really, any others... that time, seems to have passed.

Truth be told, imo @ least? WELL, & there ARE "experts... & EXPERTS"... it varies. From those that, for instance, design automobiles... & those that work on them @ the garage mechanic level.

by the way i have posted several threads that ask how to boot Mac OSx to PC. Let me just say that i am in no way a hippocrit, i do not support Apple rather i support Unix. Plus when people first started booting it to PCs i thought i was fucking funny that a $400 Sempron shit system was running it better than a $2000 Mac!

I own a mac and I'm not gay I just like to be well versed in pc's I also have A win 98 se lap top an xp laptop A dell small buseness server that dual boots win 2000 server and linux and this pc listed in my specs. I dont feel the need to argue which is better they all have their place and all run their respective programs well. what is bull shit is everyone including their makers saying they are better in one way or another just to sell pc's.Mac has it's place windows has its place linux has its place run what you like get what you can afford.There are alot of gay pc owners also I did not lump you in with them out of respect to them not you. * BUT, it's a "Windows World" still out there, for the MOST part, in everything from home environs up to corporate ones...

(I go with what makes me the MOST "economically viable" & the one that runs the most softwares period, bar-none, of ALL types, with the greatest amount of peripheral device support there is (barring CPU types, here? Linux & UNIX win))

P.S.=> On that last point, UNIX/Linux being the most "ported" OS type out there on the most CPU's (this includes the BSD underpinnings of OS x too mind you): NT used to be on its way to that, ala NT 3.51 for example, running on PowerPC, MIPS risc, DEC ALPHA, & other CPU platforms too (like Intel/AMD instruction sets as it does now)... A guy i know drives me nuts... well, so much i don't talk to him anymore, because he keeps telling me how much better his mac is, and that you don't have to overclock them to get good performance and all that kinda BS.

I own a MacBook Pro, I build/design PC's for a living, I am not gay, and it IS the best laptop I have ever owned.

I cannot stand Mac-ites (super Mac fanboys that act like BS Sony freaks), but I also cannot stand PC people who think they are better because they went the DIY path - some people do need a good PC/Laptop for design and artwork, a Laptop that is easy to use, intuitive and fast... And some people just want the best Laptop or PC they can afford.

I love my MacBook, it is by far the nicest looking Laptop I have ever used or seen, it feels sturdy - almost industrial, and IS fast!

I love my overclocked PC's too, my Windows and my hand-made Linux firewall PC.

I love my I.T - Full Stop. Apple are a good manufacturer, and PC users are more tech-savvy. This is the stylised world we live in. Get over it, stop calling people gay, stop hating companies who don't screw their customers (Apple don't, they replaced my HDD and install DVD's and Battery without more than one phone call), and stop segregating every type of user...

Honestly, if you want some group to hate so much, lets talk about the vacuous annals of that corporation we know as Sony...

A MacBook is a Mac - just a portable one ;) . I have used the G3, G4 and G5 based PC's too, and will no doubt use a Mac Pro when the time comes. They were all pleasant, but Photoshop was faster on my dual-core 3800+ x2 system (at 2.6ghz) than on a dual 2.7ghz G5 (used at a design lab).
