As some of you know, I recently tried to enable SMART for my HDDs, restarted my comuter, and it didn't post. It booted, but it didn't post. So I tried clearing the CMOS. Nothing happened. Cleared it for 24+ hours as recommended by DFI-Street. Still nothing. Took everything out and apart, removed then reseated the CPU. Still nothing, it boots but does not post. It doesn't make a difference with or without the hard drives, PATA drives, or VGA card. Everything is getting power (VGA, PATA Drives, and SATA HDDs).
On the DFI, there are 4 LEDs lit up in when I boot, and 4 LEDs mean "System Start up" and "Checking CPU". It stays at 4 LEDs, so it must mean it's not recognizing the CPU. So it must be the CPU, but what if the board is having the problem and it can't recognize any CPUs?
Should I RMA the CPU? Or my DFI? The CPU (AMD Athlon64 3200+ is under 3 year warrenty)

Couldn't you try your componets on a friend's house, or something, to see wich is the problem?

I can't test out any of my parts, and all of my problems seem to be leading from either my CPU or motherboard. Should I just do both just incase?

Sending both back costs a bit more because you have to pay for shipping, but I would still send them both back just to save future headaches. Nothing would be more annoying than sending one back and figuring out it was the other part all along. You could even try calling wherever you got the parts from and gripe about how they sent you two bad parts so you shouldn't have to pay to ship them back. You may save a few dollars if you act upset enough. Slightly unethical but.....

Probably motherboard though, I'm gonna RMA the motherboard first from newegg, as AMD won't give out RMA numbers right away...
