I am planning on purchasing a 6600 core 2 when i can actually find one, what i am lookng for is a good mobo for it and i keep getting conflicting statements. Does anyone have a core 2 working nicely on any mobos? If so lemme know :rockout:

there is the gigabyte ga965pds3,ds4,dq6,intel badaxe mobo,asus p5wdh and others which i forgot their names....

There are a few good mobos for the E6600. What matters is if you plan on OC'ing and if so how much. Also, most of what you might hear/read about problems with C2D's and mobos has to do with RAM compatibility. Hope that helps.

yeah i plan on possibly ocing, but not too much....im a wuss :shadedshu .....what are the ram problems that are occurring?

Most core Duo mobos are not interesting up to now. You really have to investigate wisely to get something that is fully efficient and bug free for that processor. ASUS and Gigabyte have good boards for these.
