for the headphone problem, i'd reccomend the stennhauser (grah its late and i can't speel) hd202 headphones. over the head, passive noise cancling. and they only cost $20. they sound unbelievable, and i can't hear anything but my music when they're on. and they don't leak either.

but i don't advise wearing them out in public, people will look at you funny...
