Need to know which RAM chips my Corsair modules have

I have a 2gb kit, 2x 1gb Corsair XMS pro TwinX pc4400 (ddr550)

I need to work out which ram chips these modules consist of because im getting different/confusing information on the web. The ram im using is shown in the link below

CMX1024-4400PRO XMS4401v1.1 0693229-1 this is the information on the heatspreaders and is described as INFINEON, 64MX8, CL 3, Die Rev C on some websites.

Does any1 know for difinite which ram chips these modules use, and can you give and info about if these ram chips like high voltages for overclocks and or extremely tight timings


it says this about the chips: Infineon Rev. C DDR SDRAM (HYB25D512800) <---could b hynix D5?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, as im trying to push these modules to the absolute limit :rockout:

according to the database of techpowerup you have Hynix D5.

Most likely it's Infineon based, thus they don't like high voltages. They might work at 2-2-2-x @ DDR400 with low stock volts though.

btw. Corsair has an official support forum (http://www.houseofhelp.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=129) where you can ask them directly.

It is UCCC memory. Lower voltages actually work better for OC'ing this stuff. 2.5V - 2.7V is the range it works best in. But don't expect much more outa oc'ing this ram even with relaxing the timings. My memory is corsair and UCCC based and the best I can get outa it is 16Mhz for DDR533. I would expect about the same for DDR550 around 10-15Mhz for DDR570- DDR580.

makes sense, im getting about ddr 580ish with pretty tight timings
