F.E.A.R. in Widescreen !? How To?

How do you edit, change, config, hack or what ever...

To get F.E.A.R to run at widescreen resolutions?

Please help.

F.E.A.R. Combat Free Version - WIDESCREEN HACK

Start the game once. Create a profile, save and exit.

Now you can edit the config file.

My Computer > right mouse click > choose Explore > then go to
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Monolith Productions\FEARCombat

Vista
c:\Users\Public\Public Documents\Monolith Productions\FEARCombat
The file is named "settings.cfg" ,open it with notepad to edit.

"VSyncOnFlip" "0.000000"
"DeviceName" "\\.\DISPLAY1"

"RestartRenderBetweenMaps" "0.000000"

If you go into the game and choose "Options\Display ... it will show up as 640x480 and then re-set it's self to this res. (Don't do this! Do the next option below!)

If you go into the game and choose
"Options\Performance\Advanced Video Card Options\Graphics ... it should show the 1440x1200 resolution there.

Replace any Resolution your monitor and video card can support and it should work great.

I just got through playing.
That was AWSOME!!!
Again, I can't wait for my 7900GT KO 512mb to get here next week so I can turn everything up to the max.
