Hes staff man, theres many people/places in the world where people go through hard times. I think it came from an idea from another staff member to set up a raffle to raise money to help someone who needed it, and is a big part of the tpu community.
If I had some extra money I would of sent it not even having to be part of the raffle, but atm I dont have money, I like to gamble though like many other people I know so the raffle is a good way to make both sides happy, even if you lose it was still worth the gamble/chance to win somthing for way less than it costs.

I was thinking about it and because of the apparent success of this contest, wouldn't it be in TPU's favor to have regular giveaways of this sort? they could be of the same basic design except that proceeds would go to TPU to help support the site? Just an idea

Just to update: I didnt get the CM case due to shipping issues, instead i bought the Silverstone TJ08 (I won the 'dollar value' of the case) for the girl in my life... and she's damn well pleased with the case ;)

I'll take some pics eventually, but if you look for a review on the case you'll get some good images of its shiny-ness.
