need some help with my new comp dont know whats wrong

well i used my p4 ht in my new mobo asus p5nd2 sli and my new hd 160g samsung sata2 oem with a big typhoon, and it asked for system software so i put in the w-xpwith sp2 oem and it didnt completely finish install and, when i turn it on it says error system unable to load something like that, is there something wrong with the cd or the hd? well is there a way i could erase whats on the hd so it would ask for the softwear again or has anyone had this happen to them and can help me cuz i been up all night with this bs and if i can get it to work i can go to sleep :respect:

yea it should have i just got it from newegg, do they? dont come clean it my fist time buying a hd also putting one together is there a way i could find out

it just goes through the asus thing then no blue screen black sreen error system didnt load something like that

Sounds to me like disk corruption, there are like 3 threads about this same thing going right now, I wonder if it's a virus or what.

Anyway, what you want to do is set CD-ROM drives to be a higher priority boot device than hard drives, put in your windows CD and it will say "press any key to enter setup..." hit a button at this point and you can format and reinstall.
