Would you be able to combine a x1600xt with a x850xt and run crossfire?
Also, if you can, I wonder what performance would be for rendering SM3.0 and such.


I'm still not sure if my board supports crossfire... I know officially it doesn't but I think someone made a driver for the Nforce4 boards that will enable crossfire.... that would be sick since I have a x16 and x4 slot :D

nope, x800/x850's aren't crossfire compatable with x1000 series because of sm3.0 and hdr. Sorry

how about u sell both, x850 (i guess u have this) for 170$
and the x1600xt for 150$
a noob will buy it
then get two x1800gtos and cable-less cf them
