I had to reformat my computer, about 3 days ago, because everything, everywhere you could think of was really slow.. But besides the point, when I go to play games now, my performance has dropped like 2 of what it should be. I left the video card the first time I reformatted in the computer and everything went well, but this time do you think that, that would be the reason for it slowing down.? And is there anyway I can reset it? Because im sure it is something along those lines.

If I had to guess......I'd say it's your PSU....300watts just Isn't good enough......It may have worked for awhile...but It more than likely was Struggling the whole time...and now..It's giving In.

Easy way to find Out Is to swap It out for another one....something along the Lines of 400+watts..quality Brand name as well.

This has happened before though..and I RMA'ed my card and everything was fine...when you reformat does files get on your V-card or something? I know it sounds wierd but that is what I am seeming to think at this point.

I don't have a seperate PSU layin around right now or I would try it ..:(

i would check all the drivers to make sure they are the newest one. it shouldnt be the psu but u definatly want to get a better one. the tt420w is around $40 on newegg and powers my x1800.

i have an even better one than that. FSP Group 450w. its about the same price, and its got an extra +12v rail. 18a isnt hardly anything.

thats an offbrand psu. one of those crap psu's that come with crap computers. id recommend you to start saving up so you can build yourself a real computer. lol. i have nothing but problems with emachines :\

Are you running the Microsoft AGP drivers or the drivers that are specifically tailored for your motherboard? If you didn't install any AGP drivers, then you might want to check into that because that can impact performance.

Are you talking about my mobo drivers or my g-card drivers. I have the 6.8 cataslyt drivers, and have tryed reinstalling like 3 times. But for the motherboard, I don't know...I don't never remember fooling with them before, and it still had way better performance than it is now.
