When virus programmers tried to infect mobile phones, they didn't get very far. The first viruses spread themselves via bluetooth, describing themselves as a software update. As time went on, mobile viruses got smarter. And now, according to security experts at F-Secure, computers can officially get viruses through mobile phones. And it's not a proof of concept bug. The Mobler worm spreads itself by disguising itself as an .EXE file, which can be found on the phone's memory card and installed on a Windows platform. According to F-Secure, The worm disables Task Manager, Registry tools, viewing of folder options, and disables search. It also does not allow for the start of certain applications and for the running of files from the Start > Run submenu. F-Secure has released an update to it's anti-virus programs to detect and eliminate the Mobler worm.
