I want to know your avg. overclocks with X800GTO w/R480 core.
I'm up to 498/570 @ 62c full load with the stock heatsink. So post em up.:)

I just stopped at 560/570. I'm afraid to go higher.

I started to get artifacts at 584/584 @ 66c full load. I dropped back to 575/575 and i think i will leave them there.:D

they dont have to go up or down together dude.. i used to run.. still do in my other machine.. 540/600 for every day gaming use..
the core would only make about 560 and the memory about 620..
take each one up at a time and find the limits of each one then run just below that.. whatever the limits are they wont be the same for both core and memory.. one will always run higher than the other.. and u will gain performance if u run them that way..

i have a gto2, but r480, so this applies
on my stock cooler, i got to 575/615, but with an ati silencer, i get to 585/630 and it maxes out at 59C right now, so i think vmodding would help because i don't get artifacts, it crashes, so idk
but 585/630 is my answer

I know they don't. It just so happened that they maxed at the same speed.:D
I plan on getting better cooling, eventually.

Would i gain anything from flashing the bios with an X850 Pro bios or would i just get the higher clocks?

the only difference would be the default clock speeds and how it is read in 3dmark and atitool, afaik, but i'm pretty sure

Thanks, thats what i thought. I think i'm going to flash with the higher clocks so i don't have to use software to overclock.
