Never posted here b4 and i was reading about flashing it from here, but i was not sure about what bios to flash it to, My card is an 256mb ati radeon 9550 made by ati and it came with only a heatsink, Other info i know is Hynix 552A HY5DU561622CT-5 memory cips and there is 4 of the chips on the card. Is there anything else i need to know and what bios do i need to flash it to, i already know to make sure it will run at the speeds using atitool so thats no big deal. I am worried though about not having extra cooling though. Any help much apriciated!

It is not going to make any difference if you flash it...just overclock it. Trust me, I did it, and it is just like overclocking, except when you try to flash, you risk killing your card.

To help you out a little more, when I overclocked mine, I had the clock stable with ATI tool at around 300-320 core, easily, never getting hot, and the mem. at around 220

Try that, if you need any more help, pm me or just post on here.

i would also recomend just ocing it and not messin with flashing, but if you do want to flash you can easily edit the core and mem speeds of your current bios

no offence man but that card is pathetic by todays standards. set a fan to blow over the heatsink to keep heat down and just overclock the shit out of it.

well you could flash to a 9600 it would keep the oc and youd get the better memory timings. but that is i guess only really if you dont want to keep changing the timings over clocking or just booting ati tool all the time. however you could set it up to boot a certain profile at windows load automatically oc'ing your card.
