Nvidia or ATI ?

Hi..bit of a newbie. I was wondering which was the best AGP card (around £100.00 or less mark). I have been looking at X1600 and 6800?

I prefer ATI but between those 2 choose the 6800GS, out of these 2 choose a x850XTPE
i don't know how much 100£ is

As you look at the two cards the GS is 75Mhz faster than the GT, but the GT has 16 fragment pipelines, 16texture unit and 16 raster operators, unlike the GS which is 12,12,8.

basic this mean the GT will done more than the GS at lower clock speeds. this should give to some head room to overclock the GT. unfortunately there is no extra pipelines available in the GS.

uhuh, on AGP 6800GT PWNS the 6800GS.

but the 6800gs (AGP NOT PCI-E, PCI-E CORES CANNOT UNLOCK) can unlock and overclock to a 6800ultra extreme.

see here, i really like the 6800gs and would get one if my x1600pro agp fried.
