This is my first post so here goes....

I ordered a arctic cooler to replace the cooling unit on my x850xt pe. It arrived today so I proceeded to take off the stock cooling unit and cleaned off the old thermal paste. I then applied some arctic silver 5 and screwed in the new cooling unit. When i put it back in case it started up normally but as soon as my desktop loaded i got a vpu recovery message. I pressed OK and then i noticed small line artifacts all over the screen which started to blink and move around. Less then 10 seconds later the screen went blank. Now I cant get anything to show up after startup no desktop, no windows loading, no bios.....nothing. I tried reinstalling the card and still nothing. My monitor recognizes the vga and dvi connection but its like they are on sleep mode. Also I noticed when putting the card back previous times that if i forget to plug in the power cable it beeps and wont start and now when i tried it without the power cable it starts up normally (i can hear the hard drives spining). Any ideas what I could have done? and maybe more importantly how to fix it.....?

sounds like you errored when you replaced the cooling unit, do you know how hot it got? can you test it in another computer? if it doesnt work, you have fried your card I'm afraid..
