Adam Harrsion, over at g2zero.com, examined the large and complicated code base of the popular open source browser, Firefox. Overall, Firefox is a well written and high quality piece of software. Several builds were performed on the code, culminating in the final analysis of version 1.5.0.6. The analysis resulted in 611 defects and 71 potential security vulnerabilities. The Firefox team has been given the analysis results, and they will determine if or how they will deal with the issues.

It's a good thing that list of vulnerabilities was given to the Firefox team as opposed to, say, a team of hackers .

Whats nice though cause firefox is open source, its not targetted, which is the KEY here.

Exactly.
There could be 2 zillion flaws in firefox, yet it could still blow internet exploder out of the water, simply because there arent any exploits for it.
GG firefox still wins.

Well if this was IE it would be bad news for M$, but as most of the flaws would need exploiting in a different way to IE meaning Firefox users won't need to worry as much. Still not too impressive and I hope the Firefox team fixes all of them.
