I just looked at the top spec gaming PC over at http://www.meshcomputers.com and was amazed:

Genuine Windows® XP Media Center
Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Extreme E6800
(2.93GHz ,4MB L2 Cache, 1066MHz)
ASUS nForce 4 SLI Deluxe Mainboard
2048GB DDR2 900MHz Memory
600GB Serial ATA Hard Drive
2x 512MB nVIDIA GeForce 7900 GTX
(2 Graphics Cards in SLI™ Configuration)
20" Widescreen LCD Display(MM, DVI, 8ms)
Sony 18x Super Format DVD Writer
CreativeLabs Sound Blaster X-Fi Fatal1ty FPS
T7900 7.1 Speakers & subwofer
10 USB, 2x Firewire, GB LAN
Cordless KB & Rechargeable Mouse

And you get all this for under £2500, which i know isnt exactly cheap. And also some of the lower spec PCs can even have over a Terabite of HDD memory which i found astounding.

All this though makes me wonder why Falcon NW computers can charge upto £10,000 for a single gaming computer when most of the stuff at Mesh computers can easily handle todays top spec games at ultra-high settings and some of the next gen games as well.

Someone please tell me how this is possible and whether it is woth shedding out 10k for the Falcon computers?

IMHO no PC is worth 10k has no matter what spec it is it will be outdated within 6 months (or less) Technology is moving so fast, I think you just have to settle for what you can reasonably afford. I started with a piece of crap and worked my way up, I know my rig isnt 'top spec' but its fine for now and can always be upgraded ;)
